When I first saw these on a side street in Manhattan, I thought they were some sort of new Islamic Barriers (those stanchions that are planted to prevent an Islamic terrorist from driving a truck full of explosives into a building). However, they turned out to be a giant bike rack for a new bike share program the city will be piloting.

Not What They Seem
When I first saw these on a side street in Manhattan, I thought they were some sort of new Islamic Barriers (those stanchions that are planted to prevent an Islamic terrorist from driving a truck full of explosives into a building).
