Turn Lazy Kitty into Crazy Kitty
Cats Meow is a motorized cat toy being heavily advertised on cable TV. It promises to "turn lazy kitty into crazy kitty" It actually does.

Pizza Nazi
"No Slice For You"
NYC has a good percentage of the worlds best pizza. Even an average pizza place there makes pretty good pizza. This place was in Brooklyn by the Brooklyn Bridge and the line just snaked. Must have been tourists because locals would never wait on a line like this with other good pizza joints just up the street in any direction. And no slices - cash only to boot.

R.I.P. Peppi
Peppi Marchello, the singer of the iconic bar band, The Good Rats, died this week at age 68. Although we lived in the same township for many years, I can't say I really knew him, but he and his bandmates once came back to my college house in Maryland after a show one night to party - a fun experience. I was too young to have seen their first show, but I will be forever grateful that I went to see their last. Last Good Rats Show RIP Peppi.

Pit Progress
I finally found a window with no plastic covering it. Unfortunately it's on the southern end of the floor, but it still gives some perspective.

Welcome To NY
The Woolworth Building was the tallest building in the world from 1913 until 1930. Considering that NYC has only two real industries, Wall Street/Finance and Tourism, it's not a good thing if the unwelcome mat starts to go out to the tourists.

English Is Our Language
There are now bikes in some of the bike share racks in Manhattan.
Unfortunately someone at the bike factory forgot what language we speak in America. Having multilingual signs in a city like New York at places like airports, hotels, hospitals, etc is one thing, but the person who approved this should resign in shame.

Craftsmanship
I'm not too optimistic about the craftsmanship of the UAW assembled car, but this was actually painted on to the side of this building. The detail of the painting was very impressive.

Not What They Seem
When I first saw these on a side street in Manhattan, I thought they were some sort of new Islamic Barriers (those stanchions that are planted to prevent an Islamic terrorist from driving a truck full of explosives into a building). However, they turned out to be a giant bike rack for a new bike share program the city will be piloting.

Epic
I recently attended a birthday party for a Centenarian. It was the first one I had ever attended and it was for only the 2nd one I had ever known. Yet my local CVS had a card for the occasion although there was only one choice as opposed to 3 different cards for those turning 90. When I purchased it I reflected that it might be the only time I ever have an occasion to purchase such a card. What an accomplishment.

Free Danny
Danny was a birthday present my brother (a Miami Dolphins fan) received a number of years back. A few weeks ago he relocated and now lives in a townhouse overlooking a large river. Danny now resides on a balcony just a stones throw from returning to the sea. So close, yet so far.
